Mission. The mission of The Privett Academy is to provide the academic and emotional support necessary for a range of learners, including at-risk youth, reluctant learners, and motivated students wanting to improve their performance, to be successful in school.
Vision. The Privett Academy provides a small school environment with personalized education to help students develop the skills, attitudes and habits needed to succeed in school and in life.
Beliefs.• A small group relationship between students and teacher leads to success.
• If students are provided motivational, organizational, and academic skills they will be more successful in school. • Building self-confidence, esteem, and life skills will keep students in school and will create successful citizens after graduation. • The relationship that can be fostered in a small group or one-on-one setting allows students to feel capable enough to succeed in a larger school setting. • By working in partnership with our students’ local public schools, we are better equipped to help students meet graduation requirements and be prepared for post-secondary opportunities. |
Personalized Learning
Research shows that students learn best in an environment where they feel safe and supported. At Privett, our classes are personalized and designed to meet the needs of the individual student.
Our teachers are thoughtful, caring, and intelligent. Teachers take time to get to know your student, and tailor the curriculum to meet the needs of the student. Unlike a traditional school, we can move faster or slower depending on what is required by your student.
